Adult Reading Challenge
Ever wonder what other people are reading or what others have thought about the books in the library? As librarians, we get asked our opinions on books A LOT. This summer, we’re returning the favor and challenging you to rate your summer reads.
This challenge is simple:
- Read or listen to the books you want
- Write them down
- Rate them with the star system – 5 stars is excellent, 1 star is awful
- Return the completed form to the library by July 31 for a chance to win prizes
We’ll cut off the bottom portion of the form (the part with your personal information on it) and post your reviews in the library to share with other patrons. Soon, we’ll have a whole collection of reviews from patrons like you, and when you come in looking for your next great read, you might just find a hidden gem in someone else’s list.
Adult prizes include books, gift cards, and more surprises!
Kids & Teens Summer Reading
- For each 20 minutes that you read, mark off a window in your tracker.
- Every 5 windows earns you a ticket to win one of our prizes.
- Complete the whole tracker (600 minutes) to enter to win a grand prize.
- Return your tickets by July 31 to enter to win your prizes.
- By participating in the Summer Reading Program, you agree to be honest about your reading accomplishments.
- Overachieving, are you? More trackers and tickets are available upon request if you read more than 600 minutes this summer.
- If you don’t finish the tracker, complete the tickets you did finish and turn them in; you could still win!
