About the Literary Magazine
Tapestries of Tuscarawas County encompasses life in Tuscarawas County and hopes to preserve the culture of the county as a part of the library’s historical initiative. The magazine is open to submissions of stories, art and photography from anyone in the county. The library will offer a cash prize in each of the following categories: photography/art, written story, and poem. There is no cost to submit a story.
Each year, a release ceremony is held at the library to celebrate the magazine. At the event, authors and artists featured in the magazine receive a free copy of the book as well as an opportunity to read excerpts from their work. Copies of the book are available at the release party.
Anyone living in Tuscarawas County may submit up to four pieces for consideration. The deadline to submit is November 30, 2024. The new submission form is available for download here.
Tapestries of Tuscarawas County is sponsored by the Friends of the Dover Public Library and various community businesses.
The work published in Tapestries of Tuscarawas County is the property of the individual creators.
